Introducing an innovave amaranth-based snack will create new market segments within the healthy snacking industry, smulang economic acvity and generang employment across the supply chain. By promong the nutrional and environmental benefits of amaranth, the project aims to increase demand for this crop. This will benefit farmers with addional income opportunies and promote sustainable farming pracces. Emphasizing local sourcing and producon will support regional economies, fostering economic resilience, and community development. The availability of a nutrious amaranth-based snack will promote healthier eang habits, parcularly among younger generaons, potenally reducing the prevalence of non-communicable diseases like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
