Özet

Humanity and the planet face dwindling resources, encompassing essentials like food, energy, and clean air and water. In response, civil aviation has witnessed numerous regulatory measures to mitigate consumption-related impacts. Concurrently, rapid technological advancements, exemplified by the emergence of fully electric and hybrid aircraft, have aimed to address these challenges. While these innovations appear promising, they must adhere to stringent safety and regulatory standards, including those pertaining to airport infrastructure. This paper examines the legal implications and continental legal considerations surrounding these technological marvels within airport settings. Given the interconnected nature of civil aviation, even seemingly minor innovations can significantly influence airport operations. Thus, a comprehensive evaluation of fully electric and hybrid aircraft is imperative before their adoption, underscoring the primary responsibility of civil aviators in ensuring aviation’s holistic sustainability.
