Abstract

Many methods have been proposed to calibrate or normalize the inference of automobile acceleration from measured mobile phone accelerometers. The method proposed in this paper uses simplifying assumptions and geometrical projection to yield an accurate solution to the problem. The proposed method has been tested and implemented successfully along with recommendations laid out for future approaches using the intelligent Internet of Things (I2oT).
