The nature of methodology needs to be sufficiently discussed since some fundamental concepts in the field are either misunderstood or ignored.The primary purpose of the research is to discuss how books on scientific research see the notions of methodology and method. Additionally, the concepts of qualitative and quantitative research methods are analyzed. In this study, the relationship between method and methodology will be revealed within the scope of the Istanbul University Translation Studies Graduate Seminar Course. A comparative analysis is used in line with the study's primary purpose. In this regard, manybooks and articles in the Turkish literature on methodology willbe compared, and the questions will be considered: 1194How do scientific researchers define methodology? What is the methodology? Why methodology matters? Furthermore, how does it function? When the research findings are evaluated, the terms method and methodology are generally used interchangeably. Further, a significant number of the books are similar in terms of content, bibliography, and design. In many works, unlike foreign sources, it is considered more pragmatically and the methodology is not adequately evaluated in terms of epistemology.
