Abstract

ABSTRACT

Purpose of the Study

The purpose of the study is to determine the role played by emotional intelligence and intercultural communication anxiety in the effect of networking behavior on sustainable employee performance.

Significance of the Study

In the constantly changing and developing world, networking behavior can play a critical role in maintaining the competitive advantage of organizations and increasing the productivity of employees. However, the efficient implementation of networking behavior can be affected by individual and social factors such as employees' emotional intelligence and intercultural communication anxiety. In this context, this study contributes to the development of strategies that will help organizations understand and manage the effects of these two variables in order to increase their sustainable performance. Therefore, the results of the study may be important. In addition, the study may be important because it will add a new dimension to the limited number of studies focusing on the relationships between networking behavior, sustainable performance, emotional intelligence and intercultural communication anxiety. In addition, the results to be obtained from the study may fill an important gap in organizational behavior and make an original contribution to the field of sustainable performance management.

Rationale for the study

The rationale for the study is that there is a limited number of studies aimed at understanding the effects of networking behavior on sustainable performance and that more information is needed on how these effects are shaped by individual factors such as emotional intelligence and intercultural communication anxiety.

Expected Result of the Study

The expected result of the study is to determine the role of the mediator in the effect of networking behavior on sustainable employee performance. In addition, it is predicted that the presence of intercultural communication anxiety will negatively affect the networking skills of employees and thus their performance.

Method of the Study

Data will be collected by survey technique and a quantitative research method will be used in the study. Within the scope of the study, frequency analysis will be conducted first to determine the characteristics of the participants, and then a normality test will be applied to determine the type of test. Reliability analysis will be performed on Cronbach's Alpha values to determine the reliability of the scales. Confirmatory factor analysis and exploratory factor analysis will be performed to determine the structural validity of the measurement tools, and correlation analysis will be used to examine the relationships between variables. Regression analysis will be applied to test the hypotheses of the study, and hierarchical regression analysis will be used to determine the mediating and moderating effects. In addition, the mediating effect will be tested with the structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis method. The moderating effect will also be tested with the Smart PLS method. Data analysis will be done with a package program and will be studied with a 95% confidence level.
