Tuned liquid dampers (TLDs) are passive damping devices that control structural vibrations by utilizing the sloshing energy of the liquid mass. The bottom geometry of the tank and the liquid height is effective in determining the damping properties of a cylindrical liquid damper. In this study, the effect of a cylindrical tuned liquid damping device placed on a single-story structure model under seismic excitations on the structure movement for constant liquid height was investigated. For this purpose, various earthquake excitations were sent to the structure with a 0.5s period, and the damping effect was analyzed by increasing the base length of the damper tank. When the results are examined, it has been determined that increasing the base length for a constant liquid height may decrease the damping performance.
