Abstract

Automation is the use of various control systems to operate machinery, such as that found in factories, airplanes, and other applications that require less human labor. A machine's function during the filling and capping process, such as water or any other drink, faces many issues in filling the liquid products, such as control problems when faults or errors happen in the system. The aim of this study is to design a closed-loop control for a bottle filling capping system using PLC, which provides many benefits such as lower power consumption, lower operating cost, less maintenance, and accuracy. Sensors are used to detect the position of the bottle and the level of water in the tank, thus increasing the total efficiency of the factory. In terms of simulation, ladder logic programming was used for the PLC Siemens S7-1200.
