Mode of social life in Turkey has changed since 1980 due to political, economic and demographic factors. Neoliberal policies which have been implemented parallel to the globalization discourses around the world have affected the life of society in many ways. The demographic difference between the village and city that has significantly increased, necessitated the reorganizing of society with a tension between the traditional and modern. One of the dominant tools of this reorganizing is the media. Media is a mediım that make it easier for individuals to adapt to society‟s new mode of life. In the study, the reflections of social life changes in Turkey on TV shows between 1990s and 2000s examines the period when the private TV broadcasting appeared and the TV series named Bizimkiler was analyzed by semiotic analysis based on qualitative interpretation in the context of basic life style indicators. According to study, it has been observed that new mode of life is produced with the future design in traditional and modern tension of domestic tv series.
Türkiye‟de toplumsal yaiam biçimleri 1980‟lerden itibaren yıllarda siyasi, ekonomik, demografik etkenlere bağlı olarak değişmektedir. Dünyadaki küreselleşme söylemlerine koşut uygulanan neoliberal politikalar sosyal yaiamı birçok yönden etkilemiş, köy ve kent arasında giderek artan demografik fark ise geleneksel-modern gerilimi içinde toplumsal alanın yeniden düzenlenmesini gerektirmiştir. Bu yeni düzenlemenin baiat araçlarından biri medyadır. Medya araçları bireylerin toplumun yeni yaiam biçimlerine adapte olmalarını kolaylaştıran bir mecradır. Çalışmada özel televizyon yayıncılığının ortaya çıktığı 1990 ile 2000 arası Türkiye‟deki toplumsal yaiam biçimleri değişiminin televizyon dizilerinde yansımaları araştırılmış ve Bizimkiler dizisi temel yaiam biçimi göstergeleri bağlamında niteliksel yoruma dayalı göstergebilimsel çözümleme yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Çalışmaya göre yerli televizyon dramalarının geleneksel ve modern gerilimi içinde yeni yaiam biçimlerinin gelecek tasarısıyla üretildiği gözlenmiştir.
