Abstract

Description of a three-component LDA system capable of measuring all three components of the mean velocity and six components of the Reynolds stress tensor simultaneously is given. Data obtained by the LDA system in a three-dimensional turbulent boundary-layer flow field are presented. Measurement errors in three-component LDA systems are discussed.
