Özet

AI writing tools plays an increasingly significant role in teaching and learning context. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as EditGPT, MagicSchool, Eduaide.ai, and Brisk Teaching, especially in language learning contexts has significantly reshaped writing instruction. EditGPT functions as a proofread and editing assistant that allows learners to receive immediate, scaffolder feedback on grammar, clarity, tone, and coherence. Unlike traditional grammar checkers, it offers editable prompts to the context. MagicSchool as a fastest growing teaching platform is designed for teachers, offering ready to use prompts, lesson plan, and writing supports tailored to different age groups. It integrates writing tasks with AI generated suggestions, saving time while fostering creativity. Eduaide.ai is an educational AI driven platform that helps teachers design differentiated lesson plans, writing activities, assessments, and feedback aligned with curriculum standards. Brisk Teaching supports real time student engagement by helping teachers analyze student writing and provide targeted AI feedback during the revision process.

These tools offer adaptive support for students and teachers by enhancing drafting, editing, and feedback processes in writing performance. They also have potential in fostering student autonomy, improving writing fluency, and supporting differentiated instruction, they are not without controversy However, critical perspectives have raised important concerns regarding AI in education. AI tools may inadvertently encourage surface level writing improvements at the expense of critical thinking, creativity, and deep engagement with the writing process.

This paper examines both the pedagogical benefits and the critical challenges associated with using AI in writing classes. Drawing on recent studies and user experiences, it aimed to present a balanced view of how AI can support skill development while also considering ethical, social, and feminist critiques. The study advocates for a cautious yet innovative path forward in the evolving relationship between AI tools in education that prioritizes equity, transparency, and teacher agency.
