Abstract

The demand for high-speed networks is increasing in telecommunications and portable devices. In this work, an RF MEMS switch is designed to be

integrated into reconfigurable antennas for 5G applications in the 1–6 GHz frequency range. The proposed electrostatic RF MEMS switch requires a very low

operating voltage of 3.1 V. In addition, the switch achieves an insertion loss of 0.0085 to −0.0118 dB and an isolation of −46.2 to −31.5 dB in the frequency

range 1–6 GHz.
