Özet

In this study, electrical power values obtained by thermoelectric generator system (TEG) placed between compressor and intercooler of turbocharged systems were investigated numerically. The number of TGM-199-1.4-2.0 modules used in the thermoelectric generator is 28. The temperature and mass flow of the air entering the thermoelectric generator system are 135 °C and 0.162 kg/s respectively. The pressure increase ratio (pk/po) for the compressor is 2.2. Numerical analyzes were performed for seven different outer environment temperatures (268 – 303 K). In addition, the variation of electrical power and thermal efficiency with dimensionless electrical resistance was examined: the electrical power and thermal efficiency values obtained when dimensionless electrical resistance (Rr) were between 0.75 and 1.5 were found to be higher than the power and thermal efficiency values obtained for others.
