This article evaluates the latest novel of Adalet Ağaoğlu in a sociologicalcontext. The novel narrates the period of Turkish society after the 1980 coup in thesocial plan. Therefore, the novel was investigated using a sociological analysis mode in this study. Sociological analysis is a method of criticism using the data ofsociology. Investigated in accordance with this criticism method developed withinthe framework of literature-sociology relationship, Dert Dinleme Uzmanı examines institutions such as the Turkish Language Institution and Council of HigherEducation in the context of military tutelage, and criticizes the Turkish LanguageInstitution in the context of simplification in language. In the novel, the difficultiesfaced by women in social life, and the pressures of the Republic on women arementioned. It is emphasized that individuals with weakened social relations becomelonely and apply to Dert Dinleme Uzmanı, thus trying to get rid of loneliness. Inaddition, economic troubles are reflected depending on social classes. In the study,all these issues were handled with the method of literature review, and after AdaletAğaoğlu's ideas about the novel-individual-society relationship, the novel calledDert Dinleme Uzmanı was addressed with the sociological analysis method. Theresults obtained from the examination are presented in the conclusion part of thestudy.
Bu makale, Adalet Ağaoğlu’nun son romanı Dert Dinleme Uzmanı’nı,sosyolojik bağlamda değerlendirmektedir. Roman, Türk toplumunun 1980darbesinden sonraki dönemini toplumsal planda aktarmaktadır. Bu yüzden, romansosyolojik okuma modeliyle incelenecektir. Sosyolojik okuma, sosyolojinin verilerikullanılarak gerçekleştirilen bir eleştiri metodudur. Edebiyat-sosyoloji ilişkisiçerçevesinde geliştirilen bu eleştiri metoduna göre değerlendirilen Dert DinlemeUzmanı; Türk Dil Kurumu, YÖK gibi kurumları askerî vesayet bağlamındaincelemekte, Türk Dil Kurumunu dilde sadeleşme bağlamında eleştirmektedir.Romanda kadınların toplumsal hayatta yaşadığı zorluklara değinilmekteCumhuriyet kadınının kadınlar üzerinde kurduğu baskılar söz konusu edilmektedir.Sosyal ilişkileri zayıflayan bireylerin yalnızlaşması ve Dert Dinleme Uzmanı’nabaşvurması, böylece yalnızlıktan kurtulmaya çalışmaları üzerinde durulmaktadır.Ayrıca, ekonomik sıkıntılar, toplumsal sınıflara bağlı olarak yansıtılmaktadır.Çalışmada, bütün bu konular literatür taraması yöntemiyle ele alınmış, sosyolojikokuma modeli ve Adalet Ağaoğlu’nun roman-birey-toplum ilişkisine dair fikirleriverildikten sonra Dert Dinleme Uzmanı isimli roman sosyolojik okuma yöntemiyleele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda, birey-toplum ilişkisi, toplumu oluşturan bireylerinideoloji tarafından biçimlendirilmesi romanda yer alan sosyolojik okumaya elverişlikonulardır.
