Özet

Teratomas are the most common benign ovarian neoplasms in women less than 45 years old. Mature cystic teratomas (MCT`s), commonly called dermoid cysts because of the extreme predominance of skin elements, are the most common benign germ cell tumors of the ovary. Most mature cystic teratomas can be diagnosed at ultrasonography (US) but may have a variety of appearances, characterized by echogenic sebaceous material and calcification. At computed tomography (CT), fat attenuation within a cyst is diagnostic. With fat-saturation techniques in MRI the sebaceous component can be specifically identified. In this article we present radiologic features of 15 different women with diagnosis MCT which was corrected with pathologic correlation.
