To understand the social dynamics of communication, we
are inevitably compelled to look into multiple areas of social life, cultural
aspects, and the digital world. In this book, variant academic subjects
concerning some of the vital aspects of human communication are presented. To
begin with, salient theories of interpersonal communication are laid out within
a conceptual framework. Persuasion as a symbolic construction is tackled in the
context of interpersonal communication. Similarly, stereotyping and the concept
of perception as an important area of study in communication study is explored.
Being significantly related to communication, imagology is analyzed in relation
to folkloric narratives.
The book also tackles the issues of digital media. Hate speech in new media and the dissemination of fake news is analyzed in this book. The Covid-19 pandemic is explored in relation to physician-patient communication, an issue that interests us all.
Besides, the concept of brand personality is analyzed in a comprehensive study. Last but not least, the book provides space for a study on airline marketing with an extensive insight into the dynamics of the field.
