Özet:
The actuality of the subject: Comprehending consumers’ attitudes regarding used clothing is essential for improving lifespan of clothing items and sustainability in the fashion field and reducing waste from expanding clothing production.
Purpose and tasks of the research: The main goal of this research is to comprehensively explore Azerbaijani consumers' attitudes on second-hand clothing consumption and assess specific concerns that significantly impact their purchase intentions.
Used research methods: To obtain primary data, an online survey method was used and the collected data analyzed using Explaratory Factor Analysis, Cronbache’s Alpha, Pearson Correlation Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis.
The information base of the research: Data was gathered from various primary and secondary
sources, using online surveys for primary data and official reports, conference materials, scientific
and economic publications, relevant educational materials for secondary data.
Restrictions of research: Having a relatively small sample size, conducting survey for a single point in time, not being able to analyze all the variables’ influences on consumers’ attitudes are the main limitations.
The novelty and practical results of investigation: The study found that the primary causes of Azerbaijani consumers' negative attitudes are hygiene concerns and negative social influences. SHC businesses can use these results to attract more consumers.
Scientific-practical significance of results: The results of this research are a good source for future researchers. Additionally, results can be used by managers to increase the level of SHC consumption in Azerbaijan.
