I was born in Muş, Türkiye, in 1992. I received my B.S. degree in Physics Engineering from Hacettepe University in 2014. I completed my M.Sc. in Statistical Physics at the Department of Materials Science and Nanotechnology Engineering at TOBB University of Economics and Technology in 2017. My M.Sc. thesis, supervised by Prof. Gökhan Barış Bağcı, focused on generalized entropies, including Rényi and Tsallis entropies, as well as thermal fluctuations.
I earned my Ph.D. in 2021 in the field of Quantum Information and Computation at the Department of Physics at Sabancı University under the supervision of Prof. M. Zafer Gedik. My doctoral thesis was titled “Entropic Uncertainties in Quantum Measurements.”
I was a Georg H. Endress Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Freiburg from 2022 to 2024, where I worked on open quantum systems, quantum thermodynamics, and stochastic processes. I then served as a TÜBİTAK Postdoctoral Researcher at Mersin University from 2024 to 2026, conducting a TÜBİTAK-funded research project.
I am currently an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Gelişim University in Istanbul.
My research interests include open quantum systems, quantum information and computation, quantum thermodynamics, nonequilibrium statistical physics, and the foundations of quantum physics.
