Biography

Jabar Mahmood (Senior Member, IEEE) earned his M.Sc. degree in Information Technology from the University of Gujrat, Gujrat, Pakistan, in 2011. He subsequently obtained an M.S. degree in Information Technology from the University of Lahore, Pakistan, in 2016, and a Ph.D. degree in Intelligent Transportation and Information System Engineering from the School of Information and Engineering, Chang’an University, Xi’an, China, in 2023.

From 2023 to 2024, he served as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. From 2024 to 2026, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Blockchain and Data Security, Zhejiang University, and the Hangzhou High-Tech Zone (Binjiang) Institute of Blockchain and Data Security, Hangzhou, China.

He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Istanbul Gelisim University, Türkiye. He has more than ten years of experience in teaching, academic coordination, and research. He has published research articles in well-regarded SCI-indexed journals and presented his work at international conferences. He also serves as a reviewer for several reputable international journals.

His research interests include V2X security, VANET security, UAV security, message authentication, and object detection using deep learning.
